You can get an update as to the status of your order by emailing Customer Support.
We accept returns within 30 days of receipt. Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. Please open all packages promptly upon arrival and check the contents against the packing slip included in your order.
- Returns and Exchanges: You may exchange or return items for store credit within 30 days of receipt. For standard exchanges, shipping charges will apply for the replacement item.
- Mistaken, Defective, or Damaged Goods: If you find that there has been a shipping error (item not received, wrong item, wrong quantity, etc.), or you have received a damaged or defective product, you are welcome to request an exchange or a refund within 30 days of receipt.
- For a damaged or defective item, we may ask you to provide photos of the damaged item or ship it back to us.

- Please report any defective or damaged goods promptly so that we can work quickly to resolve the issue and prevent such problems in the future. Shipping charges are not refundable.
- Kits and Sets: When returning a product purchased as a kit or set, all components must be returned together.
Items not accepted for return: Shrink-wrapped and software items that have been opened are not returnable. Returns from resellers are also not accepted.
- Thank you for your interest in CKLA. Our publishing partner, Amplify, is the sole source of professionally bound and digital CKLA products (e.g., workbooks, digital resources). You can reach an Amplify representative by calling 800-823-1969 or completing Amplify’s contact form. Visit amplify.com to access free samples.
- While the Core Knowledge Foundation does not sell CKLA products for grades K-5, we do offer a variety of free resources that could support your implementation. For example our CKLA Implementation Guide includes a plethora of free CKLA support materials and tools (e.g., training kits, on-demand webinars, alignments, job aids, etc.,). Our CKLA discussion group on Facebook offers a place for educators to connect, share ideas, and ask questions.

At times, links to webpages and videos outside of the Core Knowledge Foundation can either change or be removed after we have posted them to our Online Resources. This can cause an error or a notice of a broken link. If you find that a link where the content is no longer available, please visit our Contact Us page to send the following information:

- Subject
- Unit Title
- Broken Link Address
If you have new materials that are either damaged in transit or are defective, please reach out to Customer Service. Please include photos of the materials with your email correspondence.
We offer professional learning for educators using our comprehensive resources (e.g., Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) and/or developing their own content-rich curriculum based on the Core Knowledge Sequence and Core Knowledge approach:
On-site training
- Core Knowledge Sequence training: Core Knowledge Licensed Professionals are available to travel to your school and provide training suited to your needs and interests. All Licensed Professionals have experience with the Core Knowledge approach and deep knowledge of the Core Knowledge Sequence. Learn more about our Licensed Professional’s expertise and availability.
- CKLA training: Schools looking for professional learning supports specifically focused on the CKLA program should contact our publishing partner, Amplify. Amplify offers a variety of training options to build and strengthen competencies in the different facets of the CKLA program. Turn Key Training Modules
If in person training does not work for you at this time there are online modules that you may find beneficial. The Foundation also provides free CKLA training materials through the CKLA Implementation Guide and free Sequence training through the Sequence Implementation Guide.
Train-the-Trainer: This offering prepares district/school personnel to effectively deliver Core Knowledge workshop materials at their sites. Workshops include: “What is the Core Knowledge Approach” (Grades K–8); “Getting Started with Core Knowledge History and Geography (CKHG)” (Grades K–6); “Getting Started with Core Knowledge Science (CKSci)” (Grades K–5). Core Knowledge Leadership Institute: The Institute presents strategies useful in a wide-range of Core Knowledge settings, including schools that implement the Core Knowledge Sequence, CKHG, CKSci, and/or CKLA. While the Institute is not solely focused on supporting specific program implementation (e.g., CKLA), it does address resources and practices relevant to the Core Knowledge Professional Learning curricula. We currently offer webinars and asynchronous learning modules that introduce teachers to Core Knowledge History and Geography (CKHG) and Core Knowledge Science (CKSci). All offerings provide an overview of the program design and instructional materials.

- Asynchronous (on-demand) Modules
