The Day-by-Day Planner — Version 2.0

The Day-by-Day Planner provides teachers with a comprehensive and explicit guide to implementing the Core Knowledge Sequence in their classrooms. The Day-by-Day Planner is only one of many possible ways to organize instruction but we think you will find it both convenient and time-saving. This Planner provides various levels of support for the implementation of:

I especially like the day-by-day plans! This plan is very easy for any teacher to pick up and follow, plug the rest of your curriculum in, and you’re set to go!

  • Language Arts
  • History and Geography
  • Visual Arts
  • Music
  • Mathematics
  • Science

Because the two work in tandem, it is necessary to have the Core Knowledge Sequence as you use the Planner. Because both teaching tools use the same topics and subtopics, cross-referencing is very easy.

The Planner allows ample time for all elements of the curriculum: Core Knowledge, reading and mathematics programs, and state and local requirements. Finally, the Planner streamlines key resources so that you can spend less time organizing and more time teaching.
