Process, Inc., a company that has worked extensively with educators and other professionals to understand how the hidden rules of class operate-and to help raise the achievement levels of individuals from poverty. Payne is the author or co-author of just over a dozen books including Hidden Rules of Class at Work and A Framework of Understanding Poverty.
