The U.S. Department of Education Office of Innovation and Improvement awards Dissemination Grant funds each year to exemplary Charter schools. These schools have demonstrated unique and effective techniques in improving school performance. The money awarded is used to share the knowledge and skills developed at specific Charter schools. This year only one school was selected nationally for this honor. The school selected was The PEAK School, an official Core Knowledge® school and model visitation site in Flagstaff, AZ. The project they will be sharing involves the instruction of content education with the use of electronic learning management systems. The PEAK School will be used as a model training site for school staff around Arizona to observe and be trained in these techniques. Additionally, PEAK staff will share information nationally and across the state through the training activities of the Northern Arizona Educational Consortium. The PEAK School has been awarded $145,120 and is slated to receive $150,070 for the second year of the grant. For more information please contact .
