National Board Certification for
Core Knowledge Teacher
Debra K. Lindsay, music teacher at Crestwood Elementary School in Springfield, Virginia, became a National Board Certified Teacher last fall. Readers of Common Knowledge may recall the article on Ms. Lindsay entitled “A Music Teacher of Note” (Sept. 2004), which described the production of her own composition The Last Days of Pompeii, the latest of her many musical productions, which are much anticipated events at Crestwood every spring.
Debra has several music publications, including bestselling guides to Peter and the Wolf and the Carnival of the Animals published by Friendship House. We congratulate her on these and especially on her National Board certification.
