Leadership Institutes
Leadership Institutes will be held in Charlottesville, VA on July 14–16, October 13–14, and November 17–18. This institute offers principals, Core Knowledge coordinators, and other school leaders a chance to develop a curriculum plan that incorporates local and state curricular requirements at the same time thatit implements the Core Knowledge Sequence on a schoolwide basis. Return to your school with effective strategies for implementation, useful guidance for motivating staff, and assessment methods to ensure that your school meets its potential for real excellence.
The fee for this two-day workshop is $1,000. Get your application in six weeks prior to the workshop and avoid the $100 late registration fee. Cancellations are subject to a $100 cancellation fee, and no refund is allowed for cancellation less than a week prior to the start date of the workshop.
Institute participants have given Charlottesville rave reviews as a meeting site. There will be no Leadership Institute at the 2006 Conference in San Antonio. Register early as our summer workshop dates are filling up quickly.
Remember it’s not too late to schedule summer professional development workshops on your own campus.
Also don’t forget about the opportunity to sign up for professional development from June 27–28 in Charlottesville. For this workshop there will be no tuition charge, only a materials cost. Our new consultants will handle this workshop as part of their training, but experienced professional staff will supervise. It’s sure to be fun as well as instructive.
