Head Start Performance Outcomes

State Approved Preschool Curriculum
Some states have recently started to approve specific early childhood curricula for use in state funded preschool programs. Core Knowledge Preschool is included on the list of approved curricula for state funded preschool programs in the state of Arkansas (http://www.arkansas.gov/childcare/abcregsfinal.pdf)
If your state requires that you use a state-approved curriculum, please contact so that we can assist you in making sure that the Core Knowledge Preschool Program is included among the curriculum options from which you may choose.
Correlation with State Early Childhood Standards
Many states have developed, or are in the process of developing, state standards for early childhood programs. If your state has such standards, we encourage you to compare them to the goals and objectives of the Preschool Sequence. We believe you will find that, almost without exception, the goals and objectives of the Preschool Sequence address and usually surpass the respective state standards.
The Core Knowledge Foundation has completed correlations of the Preschool Sequence with the following state early childhood standards: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. We will be happy to provide a single copy of any of these correlations, for a nominal fee to cover copying and postage, to any school that purchases the Preschool Sequence. We are presently working on correlations for the following states: Colorado, Louisiana, Texas, and Virginia. Additional information will be posted at this location when these correlations are completed.

The goals and objectives of the Preschool Sequence are very closely aligned to the Head Start Performance Outcomes.
